In line with its plan of becoming a national operator, mass catering group Dupont Restauration is rolling out its growth strategy on a regional level with the acquisition of Multi Restauration Méditerranée. The acquisition was facilitated by the close relationship between the companys' CEOs and shared values of proximity to customers, local products and a strong local presence.
Founded in 1989, MRM has grown considerably since it was taken over in 2005 by Pierre and Marie-Pierre Allary. Thanks to its dedicated purchasing subsidiary, MRM is primarily known for its organic, local, seasonal and high-quality products (palm oil and GM-free) and enjoys a strong reputation in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. With the backing of Dupont Restauration, MRM - which generates revenues of €13 million and serves more than 2 million meals each year - will rely on the group's tools and staff to continue to expand in the region.
This acquisition, actively supported by Crédit Mutuel Equity, its main shareholder since 2017, by its founder Pascal Dupont and by Bpifrance, will enable the Dupont Restauration group to generate revenues of over €200 million.
The group's aim is to continue to increase its regional coverage and consolidate its position as "an alternative on a human scale" to the sector majors, thereby strengthening its position in France.
